Erin Barbour Scala - Wine Director
Erin grew up in the blossoming wine country of Virginia and still remembers picking grapes as a child. After trekking about the globe for several years, she settled back home and got her start in fine dining at Fleurie French Restaurant, nestled among the undulating vineyards of Charlottesville, VA. After a few years, NYC beckoned. She started at Jean George’s first restaurant, Jojo, then earned her WSET Advanced Certificate.
After several sommelier stints around the city she landed at PUBLIC. For fun, Erin tends vines—specifically some old pergolas she inherited that grow in her backyard (too bad for her they are not Grand Cru!).
