What time do you serve dinner, how many
days a week?
We serve dinner 7 days a week, and we serve brunch on Saturday
and Sunday.
The hours are as follows:

Monday-Thursday 6:00-11:00pm
(bar until 1am)
Friday-Saturday 6:00pm-12:00am
(bar until 2am)
Sunday 6:00-10:30pm
(bar until 1am)

Saturday and Sunday 11:00am-3:30pm
What time does the kitchen close?
Midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, 11:00pm on Monday through Thursday,
and 10:30pm on Sundays
Does the chef offer tasting menus?
Tasting menus are available though arrangements must be made 48
hours in advance through our Events Manager Marion Emmanuelle.
Are there vegetarian dishes?
Our dinner menu currently offers three appetizers, one main course,
one dinner-size salad, and several side dishes that are vegetarian.
All can be adjusted to accommodate vegans. Our brunch menu also
includes many vegetarian options.

What is your wine corkage fee?
$25 per bottle of wine. We are happy to assist with arrangements.

How many seats does the restaurant
have?
120 seats and 14 at the bar.
Can I bring in a cake?
We don’t allow cake from the outside, but with 48 hours notice,
our pastry chef can create a cake for you.
Who were the architects?
AvroKO is behind the design, concept and branding.
The team was awarded two James Beard Awards for PUBLIC in 2004,
for “Best Restaurant Design” and “Best Graphics”.
What is the chef's name?
Chef Brad Farmerie
Where did he cook before?
In London, he has cooked at the Providores, Sugar Club, Le Manoir
aux Quat Saisons, Coast and Chez Nico. PUBLIC is Brad's first New
York restaurant.
Do you add gratuity to the check?
A 20% gratuity is added for groups 6 and larger.
Where can customers park?
There is a parking lot on Mulberry between Prince and Spring which
is two-blocks from the restaurant. At this time this is the closest
lot. Street parking is also an option in the neighborhood, including
on PUBLIC's block of Elizabeth Street.
What about large parties?
The restaurant is composed of a semi-private wine room, a main dining
room with a communal table, a lounge/dining room and a quaint private
lounge with a fire place, and can accommodate private parties ranging
from 10 to 200 people. You may also consider our adjacent wine lounge

When do you get cancellations?
Difficult to predict. You can always call the night you wish to
dine and the host will let you know if there are any last minute
cancellations.
What is the wait time for walk-ins?
This varies greatly. You can always call ahead that evening and
speak with our host, who will let you know how busy we are. From
7 to 9:30 is usually the busiest time. We encourage people to dine
at the bar and in the back lounge where we serve a full menu.
Do you accept brunch reservations?
No, we accept walk-ins only at brunch.
What credit cards do you accept?
Most major credit cards: American Express, Visa, Mastercard, and
Diner's Club.
Wheelchair access and disabled
bathroom?
Yes. There is an entrance to the Lounge on the lowest level that
has a wheel chair lift. There is a wheelchair accessible bathroom
in the Lounge but unfortunately; our Wine Room and Main Dining Room
are not handicap accessible.
